Author Guidelines

The Journal of Law, Policy and Justice (JLPJ) welcomes original research contributions that address contemporary issues in law, public policy, governance, human rights, and justice. As a peer-reviewed academic journal, JLPJ is dedicated to advancing rigorous scholarship and fostering critical discussions on legal and policy challenges at both national and global levels. Authors are encouraged to submit innovative, interdisciplinary, and policy-oriented research that contributes to academic and practical debates.

Open Access

JLPJ follows an open-access publishing policy, ensuring that all published articles are freely accessible online to readers worldwide. Open access enhances research visibility, accessibility, and academic impact. Currently, JLPJ does not charge any Article Processing Charge (APC) for submission or publication.

Scope of Submission

JLPJ welcomes submissions related to law, public policy, governance, and justice. The journal particularly encourages interdisciplinary research addressing contemporary legal challenges.

Types of Submissions

JLPJ accepts the following types of manuscripts:

All submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under review by any other journal.

Manuscript Structure

The manuscript should be prepared according to the following structure:

JLPJ follows a direct article structure format. Chapter-wise manuscripts are not accepted. Authors submitting chapter-based manuscripts may be requested to revise and restructure their work before the review process.

Submission Guidelines

Authors should follow the following requirements:

• Manuscript Length: 6,000–8,000 words (excluding footnotes and bibliography)
• Abstract: 150–250 words
• Keywords: 4–6 keywords
• Language: English
• Number of Authors: Minimum 1 – Maximum 5 authors
• Citation Style: Oxford Standard for Citation of Legal Authorities (OSCOLA), 5th Edition
• Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt
• Line Spacing: 1.5
• Footnotes: Times New Roman, 10 pt.
• Similarity Index: Below 20%
• AI-generated Writing: Below 10%
• Publication Fee: Free

Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to JLPJ undergo a rigorous peer-review process to ensure academic quality, originality, and integrity.

Submitted manuscripts are initially reviewed by the Editorial Board for suitability and compliance with journal requirements. Eligible manuscripts are then evaluated through an anonymous peer-review process. Authors may be requested to revise their manuscripts based on reviewers’ and editors’ comments. Acceptance of revisions does not guarantee publication, and the final decision remains with the Editorial Board.

Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

JLPJ follows internationally recognized publication ethics standards and is committed to maintaining academic integrity, transparency, and ethical publishing practices.

Duties of Authors Originality and Plagiarism:

Authors must ensure that submitted manuscripts are original works. All sources, ideas, quotations, and references from other works must be properly acknowledged. Plagiarism, duplicate publication, and unethical academic practices are strictly prohibited.

Multiple Submission:

Authors must not submit the same manuscript simultaneously to multiple journals. A manuscript under consideration by JLPJ should not be published or reviewed elsewhere.

Authorship:
Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made significant contributions to the research design, analysis, interpretation, and writing of the manuscript. All listed authors must approve the final version and agree to submission.

Corresponding Author:

The corresponding author is responsible for communication with the journal and must ensure that all co-authors have approved the submission.

Funding Disclosure:

Authors must disclose any financial support or funding sources related to the research.

Conflict of Interest:

Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may influence the research findings or interpretation.

Correction of Published Works:

If authors identify significant errors or inaccuracies in their published work, they should promptly notify the Editorial Board and cooperate in issuing corrections or necessary amendments.

Submission Procedure

Manuscripts should be submitted through the journal’s official submission system. Authors must ensure that all required documents and information are provided according to the submission requirements.
